ANOTHER  PARODY

Sung to the tune of  "Wouldn't it be Loverly"

TO THE PHILLIES
by Elena Santangelo

(I sure hope Alan Lerner was a baseball fan)

All I wants is a baseball team
To hit homeruns and it's not a dream,
Without low self-esteem--
Owooh, Wouldn't it be loverly?

Lots of bat swings and lots of hits,
Manager taking lots less fits;
Their playing ain't the pits--
Owooh, Wouldn't it be loverly?

Oh, so loverly watching Thome hit 3
     out per game,
Plus the bullpen guys pitch good,
And none of the fielding's lame.
In the dugout where the team sits

No one picks nose and no one spits;
Next inning, lots more hits--
Owooh, Wouldn't it be loverly?
Loverly...loverly...loverly...loverly.

NOTE: Looks like a lot of you must have sung this song many times
 since the Phillies finally won the World Series in 2008!
